The Strokes are back!

New York's favorite indie-alternative rock band, The Strokes, have announced that they plan on releasing their much anticipated new album this September. This is their first album since, "First Impressions of Earth," which was released back in 2006. "We've been recording a bunch - basic tracks are done. Now we're just running around like kids in a candy shop," says drummer Fab Moretti. He goes on to say that, "Coming back in and writing music was kind of like riding a bicycle." They are performing this summer in the Isle of Wight festival and Rockness festival in the UK. They admit that they are quite nervous. Moretti said, "I'm nervous as hell. It's giving me butterflies in my stomach. To be honest, I haven't really been thinking about the old songs as we're so into recording these new ones.

New York has certainly missed their "Strokes" and it is no doubt that fans are glad to see them back in the game.

New York City's favorite small venue has now become the nation's favorite small venue. Terminal 5 has come a long way in the past 2 and a half years. Its stage has seen its fair share of small artists like Vampire Weekend (not so small anymore) to big names like Lady Gaga and Alice in Chains. Now, it has become the country's number 1 small rock venue, beating out the House of Blues. NYC FTW!

Bassist, Pete Wentz reveals the group's hiatus to be a permanent one. On his Twitter, Wentz says:

"Don't you get it? A hiatus is forever until you get lonely or old. I don't plan on either," he wrote. "I can't imagine playing in FOB again. Something would have to change in my head or my heart ... not my wallet."

According to him, the reason for the break up has nothing to do with personal relationships, but just that as a band, they "grew apart."

Music News: Ozzy: Goodbye Soul Sucka!

Due to the numerous complaints about metal singer, Ozzy Osbourne's new album title, "Soul Sucka," he has announced that he will change the title to please his fans. Fans disliked the title due to its lack of "metalness," if you may. He said: "They (the fans) were like, 'I can't imagine me walking around the f*cking house with the words Soul Sucka on my T-shirt.' So I was like, 'F*ck it. I've got to come up with something else."

Though he has yet to release the new album title, Ozzy did announce that his new CD is a lot heavier than his previous one. "I didn't plan on doing it but that's the way it unfolded. A lot of it's very, very heavy. I just hope people like it. I love it."

The new album is scheduled for an early summer release.
